Paris Design Week: How The Top Designers Plan Their Trip
An insiders look at how the top designers navigate Déco Off, Maison et Object, and all things Paris Design Week
Cou cou! Chloe here…and transparently, I’m voice noting this from my bathtub after a long day of hitting the streets of Paris, so “excuse my French” as they say.
As I write this, it’s the beginning of Dèco Off (January 2026) or “Paris Design Week” as many label it, and I’ve got quite the exciting week ahead.
They say, the worst place to be is the same place as last year, and as I reflect on our design team’s experience at Dèco Off last year, I smile. We’ve come so far.
Today, I woke up with the pitter patter of my heart. Like a kid on Christmas, jumping out of bed realizing that exactly what I’ve asked for, has indeed come.
Not only am I attending many wonderful events as a designer for Dèco Off, but this year, I am visiting with a client as we plan for the furnishing of her newly acquired apartment in the 16th. One overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Truly, a “pinch me moment”.
I truly can’t wait to bring you along, as a Parisian native.
I’ve been attending Paris Design Week for four or five years, and when I first began, it was something so uncharted.
I remember sleuthing the internet in hopes of discovering hidden gems and the official design district(s) of Paris. Which became clear fairly quickly, Rue Jacob and Rue Bonaparte were the key areas of focus.
Any design enthusiast will take note: Pierre Frey, Alix D. Reynis, Yveline Antiques, just to name a few.
During Dèco Off (which I’ll get into a little bit later) the streets of St. Germain come alive with textile-clad lanterns and some of the world’s best designers. The energy is completely palpable, and admittedly, it’s absolutely incredible.
So if you’re planning a trip, or just living vicariously…
